Being #5 – So Let’s Do Another Giveaway!

If you are a reader, I am sure have probably never checked  the Amazon rankings for a book, but if you are an author, I know you've checked your ratings. I checked mine today and was excited to see Fabulous Fabric Art with Lutradur: For Quilting, Papercrafts, Mixed Media Art 27 Techniques & 14 Projects Revolutionize Your Craft Experience! is #5 in craft books, #2116 in all (which isn't too bad either.)

Now I don't take this to heart, (well, not for long anyway) because after 3 books, I know that tomorrow my ranking could be #1000 – Amazon changes that quickly, maybe even hourly.

But for today I'm #5 in crafts – and that's something to crow about.

  3. I am new to mixed media & transfers to paper & fabric. I have been a silk painter so I love the concept of fabric collage. I just fractured my knee, so hope to use this down time for more art…you are a true inspiration!

  4. Oh, are the fabrics from the Feb. 5 post in this book? If so, I have to have it. I have some Lutrador but I really don’t know how to use it. Here’s hoping for the best.

  10. How amazing is it to have published yet another book. I often think I’d like to do a book about my work with the developmentally disabled artists yet my head kind of acts like an overloaded computer when I try and add that desire on to my long list of wonderful things artful to do. So based on your last blog entry and now this success I think it’s okay to be treading time. As you keep busy each day without art savour bits and be prepared to once again be too busy with art.I look forward to your book. I haven’t attempted to buy it yet.     i’ve always wanted to learn how to work with cloth but my sewing skills have always been…er…lacking would be a good word for it. 😀 I love looking at the pictures of your projects though.

  23. Lesley, I got your book from Amazon – preordered it, even, so I’d get it as soon as it came out. I love all your books and this is no exception – clear easy instructions and lots of inspiration. I don’t know how to check rankings on Amazon but here’s hoping you’ve moved up the list. #1 would be good!

    I bought the book from Amazon. It provides a wealth of information in using Lutradur. I have had some of it for a long time, but never have done much with it. Hopefully, your book will inspire me and my students. I’m thinking about my students developing books.
