Yes, you're a winner, I'm a winner, everyone is a winner because we are alive, we can read, we can write and we take an interest in each others lives. Congratulation on winning the gift that is this day. Now for the big drawing…

Alas, there can only be one winner of the little quiltet, and that is Teddi Munslow, a middle school teacher and quilter. Since I know she has to go back to work in a couple of weeks and deal with middle schoolers, I think we can all agree that she deserves to win. Teddi teaches art, which probably means that her students are happy to be in her class, but I do know that it also means having to do grades, etc for every student in the school! Please email me Teddi.
It's slow going here – too many things to do. I spent all of yesterday setting up all the art stuff for the sale I will be having soon here in Maryland (STAY TUNED FOR THE DATES). Yes, a sale in Maryland, but yes, also a sale right here on the blog. Many of your wise readers suggested that I sell directly from the blog. I don't see why not. We're not strangers and I don't foresee any problems, so let's give it a go. The only downside I see is that I'll either price the items to high or too low. In some cases I know what I paid, but in other cases, those were 1990s dollars. So, here's the plan. I'll post my asking price and those of you who think it's too high can offer what they are willing to pay. Those of you who really, really, really want it no matter what, can offer me more.
While I am getting all this ready, feel free to comment on my plan, the physical sale or the virtual sale. And in return, I'll choose another winner on Friday, August 15th - a "real" winner for this lovely fabric /Fragment covered composition book. The quote is so apropos.

I am indeed glad to be able to be part of your sale without being where you live. Looking forward to it.Hope I can play the game of offering and bidding. I’m not good at bartering. I only go into action if I think I’m being ripped off out there in the big old world. I like fair even though I know it’s a bit of a fairy tale I like to believe in it all the same. All the best with your real sale as they are a lot of work but also a lot of fun. Looking forward to so many things and your blog entries are one of them. Thanks, Deborah

Lesley-
I’m excited about a chance to see & perhaps to buy some of your treasures! I live in DC but have no car. Could you possibly post directions by Metro? And are you teaching at A&S in Hampton? That would really be something to look forward to! I miss your classes at G Street Fabrics. Will you be back next year?

Leslie_ how right you are! In the last couple of weeks a dear friend suffered a terrible loss, another was a suicide attempt, a coworker has cancer & knows he has less than a year more likely only a few months, so’s son can’t leave substances alone, and lastly a dear friend is in great pain as I just got her home while she waits for her Dr………….. So to all of us in general good health with wonderful friends do we know how lucky we are? Thanks for pointing that out.
