Before I left for Houston, I gifted myself with an iPhone so I could stay in touch via Internet and email without lugging a laptop around. Of course I don't even own a laptop but have purchased 3 of them for my college-age children. What I did not expect was that I would fall in love with the camera function. The iPhone takes beautiful rich color photos, adjusting to the given light in any situation – no flash function included, which suits me just fine. I love the quality of the photo and the color saturation. I got carried away yesterday photographing a few corners of my home. So please, won't you step inside with me and take a peek?
Remember months ago when I said the color of the living room changes with the light? It's not really as blue as the camera sees it in the photo below, but isn't it lovely?
This quilt belonged to my mother. The box collection was hers as well. The light streaming from behind it is the lower level where my Dad lives. He gets the majority the natural light in the house – lucky guy.
I welcome you anytime you're in the neighborhood. I dare you to ring the doorbell. It's a 40+ year old doorbell on its last legs and has a charmingly (to me at least) weird sound that makes anyone standing on either side of the door smile. No need to fix that!

Thanks for showing us around your home, it looks very peaceful and relaxing! I love your little collections that you have here and there, especially the collection of tin (sap?) buckets.
