Riley is thrilled over my new website
Welcome to my new website. If you are a regular visitor to my blog, you will notice it has a new home here at LesleyRiley.com. (And if you’re new, Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! – it’s a great time to be here.) I hope you’ll take the time to wander through the website as well, and more importantly, sign up for my new NEWSLETTER.
The newsletter is important, because not only will you get all the lastest and greatest info I have to share (more about that later), as a subscriber you are automatically entered to win a prize from my monthly drawing. held the 1st of each month. Good prizes too, like books, magazines, fabric, CDs – all things that will inspire or assist you in creating your art.
(A note to former subscribers to my LaLasLand and Quilted Memories Yahoo groups – your name has already been added to the newsletter mailing list, so no need to sign up.)

A few of the 100 new Fragments I've been working on
OK, so here’s the scoop. This website is a new beginning for me. (Can you believe the other was 10 years old!) The day after Labor Day also signifies new beginnings, fresh starts, going back to school or work, a chance to gather and store information for the days ahead, just like the squirrels outside my window hoarding nuts for the future. More than anything I loved the first day of school and all the possibilities that lay ahead of me ~ the smell of new textbooks and the knowledge that awaited me. I am still a seeker (thrillseeker?) of knowledge and I want to share the thrills here with you.
I promise to be more present here on the web. I promise to deliver timely, relevant and significant content about art, inspiration and creativity. And as you know, life is art and our art is influenced by our lives, so there will be personal content which will indirectly relate to art. You’ll definately hear about (and see photos) from my daughter’s upcoming wedding (this Saturday, September 12th), and the other daughter’s new baby girl (due November).
I’ll also be posting on Facebook more often. And I’ll be doing something really cool with Twitter – tweets I think you’ll be happy to receive, so I hope you’ll follow me on both. (There’s a link to follow me right there on the right of your screen) It’s time for me to reconnect with you and also with myself. To get back to doing what I love ~ inspiring others to create. Whether it be through this website, the classes I teach, my books & DVDs, the art I make, the sharing of true and honest quotes or the words & work of another artist, or even the photos I artfully compose to record my life ~ I’ll be here.

Will you?
(Hint 😉 – That’s your invitation to leave a comment.)
(Yes, you.)
Enjoy your website, fresh and new looking
Love your new website. I know you enjoyed the wedding (they take on a life of their own) and now another grandbaby, Happy Days. Grandchildren are our rewards. Look forward to you blogging more and love TAPP, great product.

MAGNIFICENT! FANTASTIC! LOVE IT! LOVE THE BLUE! It feels bright, sunny and energizing!
Just getting around to catching up from all summer activities and taking time off. You are right, Labor Day is a mark for new beginnings.
Feeling the green of envy…that dying class at ProChem sure sounds exciting and not to say the time at Idyllwild just mighty productive in such inspiring nature coddled environment.
Ooooh! Love that photo of the red umbrella at the beach. Aaah! the thistles at Idlyllwild…Whoa! what a view!
I have subscribed to your newsletter hoping to get so far behind again. Toora loora!

What a beautiful site full of inspiration! AND I am so glad there’s another fresh start, new beginnings date so I don’t have to wait til New Years to re-do my long forgotten resolutions!
Gorgeous, colorful, fun!
xxo
Love, love, love! the new website! And your new fragments are so alive! My dark soul has always loved the grungy, antiqued browns and tans and faded prints, I’m finding these past few years I’m so much more attracted to color. I secretly fear it’s simply because I’m growing old and recall that when I was a little girl it seemed like the old ladies in church always wore such outlandish colors that no one younger would think of wearing.
At any rate, I love your new look. The photo’s from Idylwild make me ache so to go somewhere fun soon. Alas, the Michigan outlook isn’t good this year, so I’ll have to catch you somewhere in my future.
Nancy
