I’m playing paddle ball with my head chatter. As soon as I toss out a worrying thought from the past or about the future I snap it right back to present time.
I cannot change the past or predict the future. I can only do something NOW.

I love your determination to overcome ‘monkey mind’! I gre up in NYC and lived in most of the major US cities for work. Now I live on a rural island far from the mainland of the US. Getting to the mainland is generally an all day affair for doctor appointments or ‘fun’ shopping. I find myself overwhelmed by the chaotic energy in the ‘real’ world – even in the smaller towns that we got to. So much rushing about and a mind set of ‘behind ahead’.
I’m always relieved to get home where we have not a single stop light (we do have stop signs though!) and where I can actually try to be ‘in the moment’ and not have people think I’m mentally challenged !!
Good job Leslie – can’t wait to follow your journey!

Yes, Marie. I think it does have something to do with moving away fro the hustle and bustle of Washington, DC. That and turning 60!

The ‘now’ is the only way to live a sane life. This I learned from Eckhart Tolle via his book The Power of Now, and many of his other published works. Congratulations for learning to stay ‘present’ in the moment, it’s all that truly matters! >^..^<
